Melco Resorts & Entertainment today hosted the “Splendors of China” series. In collaboration with the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region, the program is to learn about mainland China’s culture, economic policies and understanding the social systems and values. This creates deeper insight into understanding the majority customer base of the business, as well as appreciating the achievements of the mother country of Macau SAR. It is part of the “Whole Person Development” to strengthen the knowledge and capabilities beyond technical skills.
Melco was honored to have Dr. Zhu Andong from Tsinghua University, who provided the lecture on China’s economic opportunities, challenges and future development trajectory. Almost 800 management and non-management colleagues attended, including community members. Ms. Zhang Jianhua, Deputy Director – General and Mr. Zuo Xianghua of Economic Affairs Department, Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Macao SAR were guests of honor.
Mr. Lawrence Ho, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Melco Resorts & Entertainment, said, “The Splendors of China program is very important to our Company.
