During this time, tourism and surrounding industries have flourished, catalyzing endless opportunities and strengthening the advance of gender equality. In Macau, where instances of families with both parents working have increased, the pressure for working mothers have been the focus of much attention. Maintaining women’s rights and interests have always been one of the important policies of the Macau government. I am pleased that Melco has long been an advocate of the development and implementation of initiatives for women, bringing further female-friendly activities and policies to society. Today, I am glad to witness Melco continue investing resources to the cause, contributing to the fruitfulness and meaningfulness of the lives of Macau’s women.”

In 2008, Melco partnered with the Organization for Oncology and Translational Research, the Worker’s Medical Clinic. The company also partnered with Women’s General Association of Macau to provide free health examinations. Melco is the first integrated resort to set up lactation rooms across all our major properties to support working mothers.
