Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited (Nasdaq: MLCO), a developer, owner and operator of casino gaming and entertainment resort facilities in Asia, has received recognition from the Macao SAR government for the Company’s support towards breastfeeding and lactation room facilities available throughout all its major properties, including at City of Dreams, Studio City, Altira Macau and at the Company’s Flower City office. At an event aimed to raise awareness and celebrate World Breastfeeding Week 2018, the Health Bureau (SS) presented Melco with this special recognition.

Mr. Lawrence Ho, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Melco Resorts & Entertainment, said, “Melco values employees as our most important asset, being the first gaming operator in Macau to set up lactation rooms across all four of its major properties. The acknowledgement from the Health Bureau highlighting our promotion and support for breastfeeding and lactation room facilities made available to our team members is a testament to our women and family-friendly policies. In addition to the increased maternity and paternity leave benefits from Melco for eligible employees made effective last month, we believe the availability of lactation rooms will assist and support mothers returning to work after childbirth, further enhancing Melco’s market leading position as a caring company.”

Opened in 2016 and located in the heart of house areas of the integrated resorts and corporate offices, Melco’s lactation rooms are designed to provide a cozy and relaxing ambience. Each lactation room is comfortable, spacious and equipped with lounge chairs, a water source, cleaning facilities and refrigerator. In 2017, Melco extended its lactation room facilities to Hong Kong’s corporate office.

Melco has been a pioneer in supporting the promotion of women’s health, in particular, breast cancer. The Company has previously collaborated with the Organization for Oncology and Translational Research (OOTR) to provide over 5,000 free screenings to local women, 2,000 of whom were Melco employees. As a result, a certain number of participants were diagnosed with breast cancer and therefore able to receive prompt treatment. Melco has also made donations to the Worker’s Medical Clinic and the Women’s General Association of Macau to provide free breast ultrasound tests for the under-resourced and members of labor unions and for promotion of breast health education respectively.
