This year, Christmas will be green and bright at Mahalo Tiki Lounge, Queen’s Road East’s top-floor, exotic Tiki bar and lounge mixing up exquisite cocktails and the best beats throughout the holiday season.
Bar Manager Austen Lendrum has created three limited edition cocktails so guests can enjoy a Hawaiian holiday when they can’t actually get away. Fall in love with his Heart of Christmas (HKD100), a blend of Bacardi Oakheart rum, cinnamon syrup, Shiraz red wine, raspberry liqueur, egg white and lime juice, or try the Kalikimaka (HKD100), a true taste of Christmas made from Bombay Sapphire gin, elderflower and apple cordial, Aperol, Rosso sweet vermouth, lemon juice and apple cider. If it suits, take a Snow Day (HKD100), a cocktail made with Gosling Black Seal Rum, Cinnamon syrup, Aztec chocolate bitters, Baileys and Grand Marnier.
Those staying home in Hong Kong for the holidays can celebrate the season at Mahalo’s Alice in Wonderland themed Christmas Eve party. Part of the popular Rabbit Hole series, the party will bring Hong Kong’s renowned DJs from Cliché and the internationally acclaimed Jackrabbit of Berlin together for a night of revelry.
All of the Foxy Cleopatras out there can ring in the New Year in style—disco style– at Mahalo’s Soul Train party hosted by the DJs of FuFu. Break out those bell bottom jeans, velvet suits and afros and join the dance party all night long, from 8pm to 4am. Tickets are HKD300 for earlybirds, HKD400 until the 31st and HKD600 at the door. They can be purchased now at http://www.ticketflap.com/soultrain.
This December, take an island holiday at Mahalo where the palm trees sway, the drinks flow and the music never stops. (Except on December 26th, 27th and January 2nd and 3rd, when the venue will be closed.)
