2 December 2019. Melia Bali received Bali’s finest certification ‘’Super Platinum’’, the highest award category on Tri Hita Karana (THK) Awards 2019 for the fourth consecutive year. Mr. Eduardo Perera Castro, General Manager of Melia Bali, represented the hotel to receive the medal and certificate given by the Chairman of THK, Wisnu Wardana, Friday (29/11).

In addition to the THK Awards, Melia Bali won Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Awards. The appreciation was given as the resort through its Community Involvement Program (CIP) has supported the program of Subak Irrigation for Organic Rice Field at Tegaljadi Village, Marga, Tabanan on 23 August 2019.

THK awards established in 2000, and endorsed by UNWTO, United Nations World Tourism Organization since 2004. The THK concept has arrived at a new position defined to be the philosophy of regional development in Bali, reinforced in regulation no. 4/1996. The awards recognize for the companies and organisations who actualize THK concept; three causes of harmony in Balinese philosophy referred to the principle of the relationship between humanity and God Almighty (parhyangan), among human being (pawongan) and human with the environment (palemahan).
