Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony between Korea MICE Association (KMA) and Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA)
Korea MICE Association (KMA) and Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on the education and training of MICE professionals and strengthening of business platforms for the development of the MICE industry in Korea and Thailand.
I KMA and TICA will collaborate for the growth of the MICE industry in Korea and Thailand with the aim to contribute to the economies of both countries and the enhancement of international goodwill and cooperation.
II Collaborate on education and training of MICE professionals;
(i) KMA and TICA will invite members of each other’s association to attend respective educational meetings and sessions; and
(ii) KMA and TICA will cooperate to promote both associations’ internship programmes and will accept interns to the maximum extent possible.
III KMA and TICA will send speakers to each other’s events for MICE meetings organised, sponsored or supported by KMA or/and TICA.
IV KMA and TICA will coordinate and develop further details for the execution of this Memorandum as well as additional activities where appropriate.

KMA, established in 2003 in Korea, respects, collects and adjusts the opinions of all business or institutions related to the MICE industry in Korea for the best results. KMA also cooperates with domestic and foreign organisations for further growth and development of its partners as well as the MICE industry. KMA members are convention and visitors bureaus (CVB), destination marketing organisations (DMO), convention and exhibition centres, professional convention and exhibition organisers (PCO & PEO), MICE service providers, travel agencies, hotels and resorts, airlines, education institutions and other companies related to the MICE industry.
TICA, a non-profit organisation was established in 1984 jointly by the Government and private sector comprising key practitioners in the business events industry. TICA’s main functions are to promote and market Thailand as a leading business events destination in the world and to develop expertise for member organisations in servicing planners and organisers. TICA members consist of convention and exhibition centres, hotels and resorts, professional convention organisers (PCO), professional exhibition organisers (PEO), destination management companies (DMC), event management companies (EMC) and other suppliers of business events.
