Memphis Tourism is excited to announce that Grammy Award nominee and renowned Memphis and Mississippi bluesman, Cedric Burnside will be appearing at two exclusive trade events across Melbourne and Sydney next month.
Travelling to Australia to perform at the Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival on the Gold Coast in May, Cedric will perform for two intimate shows ahead of the main event where he will showcase his electric and acoustic guitar prowess, joined by his full band. Those in attendance will have the opportunity experience what Memphis is famous for and meet with the legendary blues artist himself.
As the grandson of legendary R.L Burnside, a famous American blues singer and guitarist who found fame in his grey years, Cedric Burnside draws upon a tradition that is decades old and cuts deeper than any other artist’s recent attempt to interpret the blues.
The exclusive VIP events will be followed by public performances across Melbourne and Sydney, as well as three days of public performances at Blues on Broadbeach. Details below –
