Day three of the 12th King’s Cup Elephant Polo Tournament saw a fiercely fought match where Mercedes, captained by Oliver Winter, stole the game in spectacular fashion from the talented transgender team, Miss Tiffany’s.

The first chukker saw the Mercedes veteran polo brothers, Oliver and Niffy Winter along with fellow team mates Hugo and Dirk Goetz, who were stunned in the first few minutes of play by the exceptional defense of the Miss Tiffany’s team – Nethnapada Karayanon (Nek) Kevin Balot and Chanachida Rungpetcharat (Blossom).a-timthumb

Mercedes Captain Oliver Winter finally managed to break through Miss Tiffany’s determined barrier by trading shots down the field with his brother to score the first goal of the match. It was this goal that set the precedent for the rest of the chukker which resulted in a first half score of 9 – 6 to Mercedes Benz.

The second chukker saw an intriguing battle of wits and precision flying strikes between the Mercedes Winter siblings with each of the team members scoring multiple times and things started looking ominous for the Miss Tiffany trio.

With the score lying at 14-6, Miss Tiffany’s moved their game up a gear. Both teams fought it out head-to-head, Mercedes proving quicker in the exchanges before moving in for another goal in the final four minutes – leaving the score at an unbeatable 15-6.

In the dying seconds of the game a tussle between the two teams ensured a nail biting end with Miss Tiffany’s scoring the last goal of the game – it wasn’t enough to win but they were the crowd’s favorite team of the day. Final score 15 – 7 to Mercedes Benz.
