Metro Hotel on Pitt, a boutique 4-star hotel situated in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, has completed a major refurbishment designed to increase the property’s appeal among the growing corporate and mid to high-end leisure market.
The completion of the refurbishment means the hotel now offers 119 guest rooms, reducing its previous eight room types to just four – Executive, Deluxe, Superior and Compact. All rooms and public areas have had an extensive makeover, including the addition of stunning artworks by Sydney artists, Susan Stitt and Warwick Orme.
The first major overhaul of the hotel’s interior since 2008, the hotel has undergone a gradual and deliberate transition over the past decade as Metro Hospitality Group has worked to ensure the property remains competitive in the strong Sydney hotel accommodation market.
All queen sized beds have been replaced by king sized in Executive, Deluxe and Superior rooms, and all Compact rooms have comfortable double beds. Old beds have been given to Mission Australia to use in their ‘softlanding’ recycling programme. Bathroom amenities are supplied through SOAK, using all-natural ingredients for hair and body. Everything has been upgraded, including bed linen and kettles.
Metro Hotel on Pitt also offer 24 hour reception desk, free in-room WiFi, gym access, 24 hour room service and a VIP service recognising loyal clients.
Metro Hotel on Pitt Manager, Simon Wanstall, said the end of the extensive refurbishment marks an exciting time for the hotel, enabling it to fulfil its promise to its loyal leisure market clients and to fully maximise its potential with the growing corporate market.
