Metro Hotel on Pitt, in the heart of Sydney, has completed refurbishments on the hotel’s 119 rooms.

The completion of the refurbishment means the hotel now offers Executive, Deluxe, Superior and Compact rooms to suit all clients. The higher standard of guest accommodation is expected to further strengthen the hotel’s appeal with the corporate market. Metro on Pitt provides a 24 hour reception desk for guests. Room features include complimentary tea and coffee making facilities; small fridge; hairdryer; iron and ironing board; in-room safe; free in-room WiFi; free to air TV and a complimentary selection of Foxtel channels.
All rooms will have 100% Australian made brand new Sealy mattresses with queen size beds being replaced by king size and all compact rooms will have comfortable double beds. Old beds will be disposed using Mission Australia’s ‘softlanding’ recycling programme. Bathroom amenities will be supplied through SOAK, consisting of all natural products good for the body and great for the hair and skin.
“I would describe the refurbishment as a beautification of the hotel, using modern influences to create a timeless room layout” said Simon Wanstall, Property Manager for the hotel. “All of the guest’s relevant and important touches have been attended to, right down to the tea kettle and linen” he added. Mr Wanstall, who took up his appointment in March, has overseen the refurbishments in the last couple of months.
