Bringing a new focus to Plantation Island Resort’s leisure activities team, former Fiji TV news and sports cameraman Michael Aisea has been appointed Activities Manager at the popular Fijian resort.

Mr Aisea is well known on the local scene having worked for both the Fiji Broadcasting Corporation and Fiji TV as a cameraman and reporter.

But he is also very well respected for his sporting background which includes stints with the Fiji Sports Council Development Unit as well as coaching rugby, athletics and netball teams.

Prior to joining the Plantation Island Resort team, he managed Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa’s sports and recreation department.

Since arriving in the Mamanuca Islands, Mr Aisea has made an immediate impact on the resort’s leisure activity program, expanding kids’ club activities, introducing a dedicated teenagers program as well as a host of adult-oriented events.

These include an ‘Amazing Race’ concept, a kayak tour, fishing programs – even a ‘Blind Date’ opportunity for the resort’s single visitors.
