Vana Belle, a Luxury Collection Resort, Koh Samui and Sheraton Samui Resort are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Michael Grimmer as Hotel Manager for both properties.
Originally from New Zealand, Mr. Grimmer has been working with Starwood Hotels & Resorts since 2001 and served as Director of Food & Beverages at Le Meridien Xiamen prior to joining the team.
Mr. Grimmer brings a wealth of experience within the hospitality industry with over 28 years’ experience working with global hotel chains across China, Malaysia, Australia and Tonga. In his previous tenure at 342 keys the Le Meridien Xiamen, Mr. Grimmer presided over a team of 160 associates and his previous roles within Starwood Hotels and Resorts include the pre-opening team at Sheraton Guangzhou and Sheraton Langkawi.
Having expanded his operational knowledge with expertise in Rooms Division and Food and Beverage, Mr. Grimmer will drive the Sheraton standards and reputation, while innovating new personalized touchpoints at Vana Belle Resort. Reporting to Bruce Humphry, Complex General Manager for both properties, Mr. Grimmer will divide his time between the 80-room Vana Belle Resort and the 141-room Sheraton Samui Resort, located just 200m apart along the pristine white sands of Chaweng Noi Beach, Koh Samui.
