Michelin star and celebrity chef Harlan Goldstein kicks off the autumn season at Lan Kwai Fong’s much-loved Gold with an indulgent and luxurious menu, honoring the world’s rarest and most expensive delicacy, the Alba White Truffle.

Harlan G’s annual tribute to the White Truffle will feature five exemplary dishes, generously enhanced by three grammes of the world renowned delicacy, hunted seasonally in the autumn forests of Italy’s Piedmont region.

To begin the gourmet journey, diners can enjoy a delicate Beef Carpaccio complemented by a full-bodied Burrata Cheese, Crispy Parmigiano Panko and Porcini Foam, and to top it off, three grammes of Alba White Truffle.

For those who prefer a heartier starter with a rustic and country touch, a Flatbread with Taleggio, Pork Trotters, and Chives can be made to order.

Utmost simplicity can be enjoyed in the Soft Italian Scrambled Eggs with Mushroom Flavoured Toast, allowing the Alba White Truffle to take on center stage.

Distinct Italian flavors set the tone for the main courses, melding Harlan’s famed hand-crafted pastas with the rare White Truffle.  A Hand-Crafted Ravioli with Scampi, Melting Egg Yolk and White Truffle Dashi can be enjoyed with the rare delicacy.  The most traditional Alba truffle recipes of all, Taglioni Pasta with Italian White Butter and Parmigiano is a recommended epicurean experience.

Harlan Goldstein’s specially curated Alba White Truffle menu can be enjoyed from 13th of October until the end of the white truffles season, which is expected to be late December, ranging from HK$428 to HK$528.

Additional portions of white truffle can also be ordered by gramme.

To further enhance this memorable dining journey, Harlan G has specially selected flavourful wines from Italy. Diners are recommended to complement their truffle dishes with two Tuscan wine – the 2008 Frescobaldi, Castelgiocondo Brunello di Montalcino (HK$980) or 2009 Marchesi Antinori, Tignanello IGT (HK$1,380); or to indulge in wine from the home of the White Alba Truffle, Piedmont, with a 2009 Gaja, DaGromis Barolo DOCG (HK$1,180).
