Middle East-based fitness guru, model, and TV presenter Rania Gamal poses for Playboy Philippines and hailed as the very first cover of the magazine from the Middle East.
The Egyptian chic was pictured in the nude with her natural curls. The cover photo of the 26-year-old celebrity embodies the very definition of an empowered woman. The nude cover symbolises the liberation of women and delivers a message that even Middle Eastern women should be free of stereotypes and norms that hurdles them for doing what they truly desire – personally or professionally.
Rania Gamal commented: “The girls of Playboy stand out from the rest and as a model it’s been my dream to be one of them. My aim for posing in this magazine cover is to deliver a message that we are bound to reimagine our destiny, our faith – we are never limited of our race, religion, skin colour or language we speak – we need to always stand up for what we think is right and what’s good for us – as a person, as a human being.”
Playboy Philippines’ special Renegade issue also features the strongest men and the most powerful leaders in the 2017 such as Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte and the newly-elected US President Donald Trump.
Playboy Philippines’ Creative Director Owen Reyes commented: “Rania Gamal is the perfect embodiment of the ‘Renegade’ issue; she’s rejects convention and defies stereotypes.”
