MightyMite Sydney Kings fly high with United Airlines

The MightyMite Sydney Kings are thrilled to announce that United Airlines will once again be a Corporate Partner of the purple and gold for the 2014/2015 National Basketball League season.

This marks the third season of what has been a highly successful association for the Kings.

“We’re proud to be a major sponsor for another year and to continue our partnership with the Sydney Kings,” commented Kirill Litovchenko, Marketing Manager in Australia and New Zealand for United Airlines.

“Every game at the Kingdome is an exciting experience with nonstop action.”

It’s been a milestone year for United who introduced the Boeing 777 fleet providing customers with inflight entertainment systems; and in October will launch the Dreamliner 787-9 on the new direct route between Melbourne and Los Angeles.

United has already become a strong brand presence at Sydney Kings’ home games, and has provided a number of exciting offers for Kings’ fans over the past couple of seasons, including the highly popular ‘Trip to LA’ competition run in the 2012/2013 season.

“The United-Kings synergy is a powerful collaboration, as United continues to invest in the Australian market connecting Australian travellers to Los Angeles, San Francisco and beyond, the heart of the National Basketball Association.” added Kirill.

The Kings’ latest two import signings, NBA star Josh Childress and explosive point guard Kendrick Perry will experience United’s BusinessFirst Cabin, flying to Sydney in style and comfort on the recently launched Boeing 777 aircraft, equipped with 180-degree flatbeds.

Of course, the Kings share the same purple and gold colours as those of the NBA’s legendary Los Angeles Lakers – one of United’s most important US destinations – and it’s that synergy that also appeals to both United Airlines and the MightyMite Sydney Kings.

The MightyMite Sydney Kings will play 14 home games at the Qantas Credit Union Arena in the 2014/2015 National Basketball League season, which tips off Saturday October 11, 2014 with a Kingdome blockbuster against the Wollongong Hawks.
