Milton Park Country House Hotel and Spa – a five-star property in Bowral – has launched its first-ever series of culinary music events to showcase the changing seasons in the NSW Southern Highlands.

The year-long series of operatic dinner concerts will feature five musical feasts, beginning with a ‘Summer Soiree’ on Sunday, February 18, 2018, and followed by ‘Harvest Harmonies’ next autumn, a Winter Solstice event, a ‘Spring Serenade’ and Carols by Candlelight for Christmas, 2018.

Each all-inclusive event will see a classical quartet play an excerpt from Vivaldi’s iconic masterpiece, The Four Seasons, appropriate to the time of year before guests enjoy a classical music concert, interspersed with fine dining experiences crafted by Milton Park’s hatted chef, Craig Knudsen, formerly of Hamilton Island’s five-star property, Qualia.

The series opener on Sunday, February 18, 2018 – the Summer Soiree – will be an outdoors event that will see guests trace a red carpet to Milton Park’s pool terrace where sparkling wine and canapes will be served, serenaded by the quartet playing Vivaldi’s ‘Summer’. Guests then move to a natural amphitheatre on the Tulip Lawn, backdropped by the gracious Milton Park mansion, where part one of the opera concert will unfold. The acclaimed Three Tenors-inspired act, ‘The 3 TenOz’, with a guest appearance by ‘The Devastating Diva’ – opera star, Rebecca Currier – will regale guests with soaring vocals and humorous banter as they perform classics such as ‘Nessun Dorma, That’s Amore, La Donna e Mobile, Your Raise Me Up’ and hits from Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables.  From light opera to ratpack, The 3 TenOz –  all who perform regularly at the Sydney Opera House  – will take guests on a sweeping musical journey they will long remember.

Interval will see guests sit down to candle and flower-festooned, grazing tables of seafood and summer delicacies, with matching wines, on the Cedar Lawn, before the second half of the concert starts.

“The aim of our 2018 program of musical feasts is to celebrate the unique appeal of each season and pamper guests with a seductive suite of fine music, cuisine and wine amidst the exquisite splendor of Milton Park and its immaculate gardens,” said Milton Park Operations Manager, Alex Schelluch. “We are blessed in the Southern Highlands to enjoy four beautifully distinct seasons so our series of culinary concerts will ensure guests are able to indulge in each of them.”

Including the concert, dinner and beverages, the Summer Soiree on Sunday, February 18, is available for $280 per person under the Gold Package. A Platinum package, which also includes an exclusive private supper with the opera performers after the event, as well as signed 3 TenOz CD, is priced at $390 per person.

Guests can also stay at the luxurious Milton Park Country House Hotel and Spa, with a 20 per cent discount offered for a two-night stay on either Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday. Two nights’ accommodation is available from $640 per room, including the saving. A 15 per cent discount is available for a one-night stay on Sunday night after the concert, with rates from $301.75 per room. Rates include a hot breakfast each day.
