The Monaco Government Tourist Bureau is pleased to announce the appointment of Lena Froelich as their new Regional Manager for Australia and New Zealand.

With seven years of experience in various tourism marketing roles across Australia and Europe, Sydney-based Froelich will manage the tourism body’s trade, consumer and MICE activities for Australia and New Zealand.

In her new role, Froelich will be working under the direction of Regional Director Alison Roberts-Brown who has been heading the Monaco account in Australia and New Zealand for many years, as part of a select portfolio of tourism clients held by marketing representation company Tourism Garden that Roberts-Brown created in 2007.

Froelich joined the team this week, and whilst the primary focus of her role will be the Monaco account, she will also be involved in the day-to-day activities of other Tourism Garden clients including the Kyoto Convention & Visitors Bureau and Visit Kinosaki.

As Regional Manager, Ms Froelich will work alongside key industry partners including tourism industry operators, airlines, corporate and media to attract visitors to Monaco.

Not a stranger to the destination, Froelich was previously involved in the representation of the tourism body in her role as Marketing Executive at Aviareps Oceania, held from 2012 to 2014, where she was also in charge of the Monaco account. More recently, Ms Froelich worked with marketing representation company Complete Travel Marketing as PR, Media & Communications Manager, as well as adventure travel company Chimu Adventures as Marketing & PR Executive.

In welcoming Ms Froelich to the position, Monaco Government Tourist Bureau Regional Director, Ms Alison Roberts-Brown, said that she was “delighted to appoint Ms Froelich to this exciting new role”.

“Ms Froelich will not only bring strongly valuable and extremely extensive experience in tourism marketing but also a huge amount of enthusiasm and drive that, along with her first-hand experience of the destination, will assist us in continuing to drive growth from Australia and New Zealand” she added.

Commenting on her appointment, Froelich said “Monaco has so much to offer to Australian and New Zealand holidaymakers – from its unrivalled glamour, an exciting events calendar and mind-blowing luxury hotels, it really is a destination like no other and I’m absolutely thrilled at the opportunity of helping to inspire more Australians to discover Monaco’s sparkle.”
