It’s a parade of exquisite and delectable handmade mooncakes at Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur to celebrate the Mid-Autumn or Mooncake Festival on 27 September.
Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur has prepared 12 varieties of mooncakes to mark the festival. The mooncakes, presented in uniquely designed boxes, make perfect gifts for family, friends and corporate clients.
This year, five new flavours of mooncakes have been introduced, taking their place beside the classic, traditional mooncakes.
The mooncakes are available from 21 July to 27 September. There is an Early Bird Offer of 15% discount on all mooncakes purchased between 21 July and 9 August.
The new hand-made mooncakes include Yam lotus seed paste with single yolk, Shanghai pandan lotus seed paste with single yolk, Mini ping pei black sesame with egg yolk, Mini ping pei green tea and Mini ping pei chocolate with almond and hazelnut.
The traditional varieties of mooncakes have always been a favourite with patrons of the hotel. These include Red bean, Assorted nuts and sun-dried fruits, Lotus seed paste with double yolks, White lotus seed paste and white lotus seed paste with single yolk.
Top of the range of mooncakes too are the very popular Mini ping pei durian and the exquisite Mini ping pei with custard and bird’s nest.
A Mooncake Counter has been set up in the Main Lobby where patrons and guests can select the mooncakes and have them packed in beautiful gift boxes.
A rebate voucher valued at RM20 will be given for every purchase of a box of mooncakes, to be used at Shang Palace, Zipangu, Lafite and Lemon Garden Cafe.
The mooncake gift boxes can also be customised with a corporate logo or company’s name for a minimum purchase of 50 boxes.
