Travel agents booking cruises during the inaugural Plan A Cruise Month are reaping the rewards, with Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia announcing the winners of its second round of weekly prizes.
There were smiles all round during the CLIA Masters Conference cruise to Papua New Guinea on P&O Cruises’ Pacific Eden this week when one of the delegates, CruiseAlong’s Lance Mumby, heard he had won his choice of a range of cruises donated from CLIA cruise line members as part of the promotion.
Meanwhile Cruise Holidays GC has won $1000 in marketing funds in recognition of its Plan A Cruise Month social media campaign, which has seen the agency posting a range of content promoting deals and events, as well as the month’s different themes.
Cruise Holidays GC owner Nic Rone said the agency believed Plan a Cruise Month was an excellent initiative.
“We are very grateful for all the support given to us by CLIA and the cruise lines throughout the month which helps us improve local awareness of cruising and increase our sales,” Mr Rone said.
The team at Helloworld in Rotorua and Peter Dunne from Discover Travel Christchurch are also celebrating after winning bottles of Champagne as part of the Cruise Month giveaway.
Throughout October, CLIA agent members go in the draw for a weekly cruise prize every time they make a deposited cruise booking, with the prize pool including four cruises, champagne and double passes to the 2017 CLIA Cruise Industry Awards.
Meanwhile the best social media and marketing efforts incorporating #cruisemonth go in a weekly draw to win $1000 in co-op marketing funds. Agents just need to follow and tag CLIA Australasia on Twitter or Facebook and include #cruisemonth in their post.
