Hundreds of extra racing fans will flock to the iconic Abu Dhabi Hill this weekend to experience the unique atmosphere as the F1®, GP2 and GP3 drivers head out on track to battle for the hat-trick of title honours up for grabs at this year’s 2016 FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX.

The globally renowned hill at Yas Marina Circuit has proved extremely popular with both international and local fans alike and the increased demand for this unique experience prompted organisers to offer an extra 1,500 tickets for 2016’s race.

‘The Hill’ still offers a cost-effective race experience for the hardcore F1® supporters and offers a truly incredible atmosphere as thousands of fans enjoy the spacious setting in which to watch motorsport’s finest drivers battle in out on the track.

With the typical mix of overseas and local visitors, die-hard fans of every nationality will again be delighted with the views on offer, and will get a perfect observation point from which to watch the racing action unfold.

The hill affords clear views of turns 4, 5, 6 and 7, the north hairpin and the famous straight – the longest in Formula 1®.

Dean Spruce, aged 35, from Halifax, England: “All the people back home will be looking for me on television as Abu Dhabi Hill gets great exposure during the whole race. I’m glad we managed to get tickets as it sells out quickly so I was happy to hear that organisers have arranged an extra batch. For true fans, it’s the only place to watch the race and soak up the incredible atmosphere with likeminded people.

“And what a race we have in store! We will be cheering on Lewis, of course but at least I can watch all the drama up close from here in the glorious sunshine – a perfect way to enjoy the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, whoever wins.”

The atmosphere throughout Yas Marina Circuit will be in an extra celebratory mood this year as a sold-out capacity of 60,000 will be enjoying yet another nail-biting season finale that will come down to the wire.
