Located amidst the largest grove of ponderosa pines in Northern Arizona, just 30 minutes southeast of Flagstaff, Mormon Lake Lodge provides an appealing backdrop for special events, corporate retreats and conferences. Situated on nearly 300 acres of pristine forest, the lodge offers with flexible facilities that can accommodate up to 400 guests indoors, while outdoor event sites can host groups of virtually any size. Planners have a wealth of catering options from which to choose, which are offered in conjunction with the historic Mormon Lake Lodge Steakhouse culinary team. Available menus encompass everything from the simple hors d’oeuvres to lavish sit-down banquets offered at multiple price-points—there’s sure to be something appropriate for any budget.

Mormon Lake Lodge’s professional event staff stand ready to help planners ensure every detail is arranged. In addition, they can organize memorable team-building activities, including canoe races, wagon rides and even provide a chance for guests to reenact an old-time Western film complete with script and costumes.

Indoor event spaces include:

THE LOCKETT ROOM: Located upstairs in the steakhouse, this semi-private room connects to The Evans Room, features a stone fireplace and offers access to the private bar. The Lockett Room can accommodate up to 40 guests.

THE EVANS ROOM: Located upstairs in the steakhouse, this room features a bar and connects to The Lockett Room and holds up to 100 guests comfortably. Adjacent to the room, an outdoor deck can accommodate an additional 25 people, weather permitting.

KACHINA ROOM: This private, stand-alone meeting room includes restrooms, a private office, A/V equipment, large deck with arcadia doors, a break service bar and is ADA accessible. The spacious location perfectly accommodates groups of up to 60 guests and can be set for a theater, classroom and conference meetings.

TOWN HALL: Celebrate a special occasion in the Old Western Town Hall. This historic building – originally built in the 1920s as a Western dance hall – continues to toe-tap into the 21st century. Equipped with a stage, penny-top bar, bathrooms and kitchen, the Town Hall can accommodate up to 200 guests inside, while an outdoor courtyard provides an additional seating area.

Outdoor event spaces include:

THE OAK GROVE CEREMONY SITE: This picturesque, semi-secluded site is located behind Town Hall and offers the ambience of an exclusive event venue accommodating up to 80 seated guests.

THE FOREST GROVE CEREMONY SITE: This location is nestled into the beautiful ponderosa pine trees, situated in a secluded area behind the cabins. This site can accommodate more than 100 seated guests.

THE EVENT TENT: This 40-foot-by-60-foot tent (2,400 square feet) provides an ideal setting for a company picnic or outdoor wedding reception.

Dining and Catering Options:

Mormon Lake Lodge Steakhouse boasts a casual Western atmosphere perfect for gathering with friends, family and colleagues. The steakhouse serves perfectly cooked chicken and fish as well as the area’s best USDA Choice mesquite-grilled beef cooked on an open fire pit. Guests can reserve this venue or book its catering services year-round for special events, receptions and parties. Catering services include extensive banquet or buffet set-ups for breakfast, lunch, dinner, hor d’oeuvres and desserts. Banquet menu highlights include:

  • Sun-Up (breakfast) selections include water and coffee and start at $12.95 per person.
  • High Noon (lunch) selections include water, iced tea and lemonade and start at $13.95 per person.
  • Dinner selections are available for Table (up to 100 guests), Buffet or Plated Service. The menu includes water, iced tea, lemonade, and choice of salads and sides. Dinner menus start at $23.95 per person.
  • Hors d’Oeuvres selections include choices of hot, chilled, trays and platters.
  • Dessert selections include multiple options priced individually per person.
  • Bar Options include Hosted Open Bar, Cash Bar, Modified Hosted Bar or Satellite Bar. Prices vary.

Rates for Mormon Lake Lodge events vary depending upon group size, menu choice, personal preferences and accommodations. Audio-visual equipment, decorations, music, fountains, chairs, picnic tables, canopies, canoes and more are all available.

Visitors to Mormon Lake Lodge enjoy wonderful opportunities to experience the fresh, clean air of the Coconino National Forest. Accommodations include rooms in the lodge as well as family cabins that accommodate four to eight people. Prices for lodging range from $69 per night for a two-person Roundup Room to $298 per night (holiday/event rate) for a 10-person Buffalo Ridge Family Cabin.

For outdoor exploring, the lodge offers an assortment of all-terrain vehicles for rent, as well as horseback riding. Meanwhile, guests can enjoy the popular and historic Mormon Lake Lodge Steakhouse, renowned for its Western atmosphere and USDA Choice mesquite-grilled beef.
