It was a delightful afternoon as mothers of all ages gathered to celebrate Mother’s Day with a special high tea featuring the amazing 7th-times Merlin Award Winner, Magician and Illusionist, Mahdi Moudini at our Bunga Raya Grand Ballroom.
The afternoon was filled with entertainment commencing with an ensemble of songs by our own resident singers who serenaded the guest with their medley of songs. During this time, the guests were treated to an array of booths at the ballroom foyer comprising of a health check booth by Oriental Hospital Melaka, a makeshift boutique offering great deals on apparel, a nutrition booth offering health products, a caricaturist capturing the portraits of the guests and many more.
As the guests were ushered into the ballroom, they were treated to a sumptuous buffet spread for them to enjoy while being entertained with the host of activities on and off stage throughout the afternoon. Commencing with a warm welcome speech by the hotel’s General Manager, Klaus Sennik who later commented “We are proud to be able to host a large scale Mother’s day celebration to honor these special ladies with their families and friends as the hotel strives to be the venue of choice for all types of events and celebrations”. “Having the world renowned Magician and Illusionist here today adds icing to the cake indicating our commitment to offering quality and superior entertainment for such events”, he added.
A health talk started off the activities for the afternoon with the Dietitian Cik Norasyrah Mohd Nazri from Oriental Hospital enlightening the guest on healthy living. The crowd was then treated to a line dance performance led by the vibrant Sweet Stompers Dancers. A special ‘Mother’s Got Talent’ then ensued where the guests showcased their talents much to the delight of everyone followed by a cake decorating contest which saw enthusiastic participation by the ladies. We then presented a cake to honor all mothers attending much to their surprise, as they took centre stage to represent the rest in cutting the cake.
The highlight of the afternoon was Mahdi Moudini, who enthralled the audience with his mind-blowing magic show while interacting with the guests for some of his acts. Mahdi’s candid and jaw dropping performance ended the afternoon on a high note.
Guests were thrilled to walk away with lucky draw hampers and vouchers sponsored by our participating vendors as well as complimentary room stay vouchers at Wyndham properties in Ramada by Wyndham Meridin Johor Bahru, Ramada by Wyndham Singapore at Zhongshan Park, Days Hotels & Suites Fraser Business Park Kuala Lumpur and our very own room and buffet vouchers.
