Located on the seventh floor of the Hotel and offering breathtaking views of the iconic Tokyo Station, MOTIF RESTAURANT & BAR embraces the spirit of modern voyage and echoes the Hotel’s unique backdrop where the past meets the present. Inspired by the timeless beauty of the Tokyo Station and the surrounding Marunouchi area, renowned architect André Fu has envisioned “a social salon where people meet, converge and gather.” With décor that features more than 200 pieces of custom-made furniture, lighting pendants and a series of hand-made bronze feature screens – all tailor-made in a sumptuous palette of mineral tones – guests can savour creative French cuisine from morning till midnight.
The restaurant will feature a trio of atmospheres for different moods: The Social Salon – the main dining area in a sophisticated but relaxed atmosphere, where guests can indulge in the truly inspirational “farm to table” culinary collaboration from Head Chef Hiroyuki Asano and Culinary Advisor Chef Hiroshi Nakamichi; The Living Room – the main bar area, which offers a casual lunch, afternoon tea and a menu of mouth-watering snacks and signature wagyu burgers with newly curated hand-crafted cocktails; and The Gastronomic Gallery , which offers an interactive culinary experience including buffet items for breakfast, entrées and desserts for lunch and tapas and the daily specialties during cocktail hours.
Founded on the core principles of esprit terroir (spirit of earth), MOTIF RESTAURANT & BAR offers a true culinary journey. There is a strong emphasis on classic cooking techniques combined with seasonal fresh produce and ingredients – many of which are only found in Chef Nakamichi’s hometown of Hokkaido.
