Local Peruvian operator, Mountain Lodges of Peru have opened a new property in Cusco, X.O Art House.

X.O Art House is a luxury, boutique-style guest accommodation experience, housed in a converted Casona, a large traditionally-built home from the Spanish colonial era.

X.O Art House is the newest addition to Mountain Lodges of Peru’s expanding portfolio of boutique properties in Cusco, which also includes El Mercado and El Retablo hotels.

“We are very pleased to announce that X.O Art House opened its doors to visitors this month, offering an entirely new accommodation experience in the city of Cusco,” said Enrique Umbert, Co-founder & Manager at Mountain Lodges of Peru.

The property offers seven independent superior and superior deluxe guest rooms with interiors inspired by Cusco’s flourishing contemporary art scene. Each guest room has been uniquely decorated with current works by artists from the local arts consortium, Totemiq, led by Berenice DÃaz.

Guest room features include iPads and Amazon Alexa for round-the-clock virtual communication and information, while superior deluxe rooms also feature a fully-equipped kitchenette for flexibility and independent dining.

Conveniently located in the arts quarter of San Blas, X.O Art House is only a few blocks from the Plaza Nazarenas and the Plaza de Armas.

Keeping with Mountain Lodges of Peru’s mission to deliver highly personalised service, guests staying at X.O Art House will be treated to service from the Grand Host, who is available on site to fulfil any request from grocery items to restaurant reservations and city tours.

Enrique Umbert said, “X.O Art House is a great option for families and groups looking for a more intimate experience. It can even be booked for exclusive use.” He added that “Since many of our hotel guests also travel with us to Machu Picchu on one of our signature adventure programs, by offering increased accommodation opportunities in Cusco, we can offer a seamless end-to-end visitor experience to more our guests.”
