The country’s Best Value Travel Insurers have been named as part Mozo’s annual Experts Choice Travel Insurance Awards.
Comparison site, Mozo.com.au, looked at 159 policies from 62 providers and found Aussie travellers could be paying as much as 300% more for travel insurance than they need to.
Mozo Director, Kirsty Lamont says, “Anyone heading overseas should take the time, not only to find the most suitable cover, but to shop around and weigh up prices side by side.”
“The cheapest comprehensive policy for a family heading to the US was $124 and went right up to $504 – that’s triple the price for the same level of cover,” says Lamont.
InsureandGo took out Travel Insurer of the Year based on it winning an Award in all five categories. Other big winners, taking home two Awards each, were FastCover, Virgin, Woolworths and 1300 Travel Insurance.
