MSC Cruises, the Geneva, Switzerland-based global cruise line – number one in Europe, South America and South Africa –took part yesterday in the inauguration of the new cruise terminal at Zayed Port in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, officially marking the beginning of the winter 2015/16 season in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Oman, with the 92,409 GRT MSC Musica homeporting there for the season.
MSC Musica will bring MSC guests from Dubai or Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates, on a series of 7-night cruises in a fascinating region that stands between modernity and tradition, with landscapes set amid the turquoise sea and the warm colours of the desert.
Speaking in conjunction with the inaugural ceremony, Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, declared: “It is an honour for MSC Cruises to have MSC Musica berthed here at Zayed Port as it is inaugurated, which marks the first time that a global cruise line homeports in this fascinating and captivating city. It also reflects the importance that the region and its riveting history and landscapes represent for our guests, and it is testament to MSC Cruises’ capacity to offer the most sought-after destinations as they become accessible.”
Sixteen cruises leaving from either Dubai or Abu Dhabi are planned for this season on the 3,200-guest ship from this Sunday to the end of March 2016. Departing from Dubai or Abu Dhabi, guests will embark on a 7-night cruise that will bring them to beautiful bay of Khor al Fakkan, then to Muscat, the capital city of Oman, followed by Khasab the northernmost tip of the Sultanate of Oman, also known for its natural wonders and unique fjords, before returning to Dubai and Abu Dhabi where guests will disembark.
