mtatravelMTA – Mobile Travel Agents has appointed high profile Sally Gorringe to head up its Queensland, NT and South Australia business development activity in a move CEO, Don Beattie describes as a “pure gold recruitment coup” for the company.

Ms Gorringe joins MTA with strong industry experience spanning more than 20 years in retail and sales management roles.

This includes 10 years with the UTAG travel network in NSW/ACT and subsequently, senior sales roles with MSC Cruises and Insight Vacations.

She also has experience in running her own business since moving to Queensland.

“Sally brings with her considerable travel industry knowledge and skill and having run her own business, she really gets the home working model so is ideal for the role,” Mr Beattie said.

Mr Beattie went on to say that Sally’s key focus will be to assist consultants and agents looking to take that first step into the home-based model and then support them on their journey.

“We are delighted that Sally has chosen to join us,” he said.

The appointment follows hot on the heels of MTA securing another well known industry player, Clare Kearns, to the role of business development manager – Victoria & Tasmania last month.

The two new MTA managers join long serving business development manager – NSW & Western Australia, Jackie Pennock, a trio Mr Beattie said was destined to have considerable impact for MTA on the national front.

Ms Gorringe officially starts in her new MTA role on 13 March 2014.
