MTA ups in-house IT capability with launch of new Virtual Office resources

mtatravelMTA – Mobile Travel Agents has taken its in-house IT support offering to a new level with the launch of a raft of innovative, high tech tools designed to build on the company’s existing Virtual Office (VO) technology and as result, enhance client service delivery.

The new developments include  further  enhanced, integrated invoice and itinerary system, live credit card and eNett supplier payment capability, MTA AM Business sessionsautomated BPAY allocations, client profile upgrades and an ‘Export itineraries to Microsoft Word’ function allowing MTA members  to tailor any generated itinerary to suit specific client requirements.

The newly-enhanced VO also includes an e-travel gift voucher system which can be integrated into trip files to make issuing and tracking personalised gift vouchers quick and easy.

A honeymoon gift registry that allows clients’ guests to pay funds directly into a trip file has also been included.

In addition to the above and effective 01 January 2014, all MTA members will also have access to fully-supported and maintained individual websites included in the newly announced MTA fee structure. The websites provide a unique and comprehensive marketing capability which includes a  newsletter and database marketing system, automated ‘welcome home’ messages, reminders as well as a built in on-line booking engine.

Unveiling the new products at last week’s ‘MTA – more than expected’ themed national conference in Canberra, CIO, Ben Merricks   said the new technology had been written in-house and designed specifically to further streamline the existent MTA IT offering.

“The ability to develop the programs in-house certainly gives it an edge over third party shelf products available on the market,” Mr Merricks said.

“Just as importantly, it makes doing the job much easier for MTA consultants while at the same time enriching the service delivery.”
