People are trafficked from, through and into Thailand for sexual exploitation, forced domestic work, begging, and forced labour in the fishing, construction, factory and low-end garment industries. UdonThani is a known area for human trafficking due to higher levels of poverty and low levels of awareness.

The majority of Asia’s 11 million victims of human trafficking are young people, making the large university town of UdonThani a perfect location to reach those at risk with information on how they can protect themselves.

“MTV EXIT Live in UdonThani” is the thirty-ninth free human trafficking awareness-raising concert MTV EXIT has held globally. MTV EXIT made history by producing the first-ever major international concerts at Angkor Wat inCambodia and in front of Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, Myanmar. MTV EXIT concerts have featured top international and local artists, including Placebo, Jason Mraz, Super Junior, Simple Plan and R.E.M. MTV EXIT’s live events have reached over 1.8 million people globally.

MTV EXIT is pleased to haveNok Air, Central Plaza, MCOT and TQPR as official partners for this event.
