Mudgee Region to Host Food & Drink Trail

DSC_7587Mudgee Region Tourism is set to welcome thousands of visitors as they ‘skip town together’ and head to the first ever Food and Drink Trail, held across the region from 16-17 April 2016.

A weekend dedicated to food and drink matching experiences, revellers will seek the perfect pairing as they explore and traverse the trail, taking in the region’s best food and drink offerings.

With more than 15 unique experiences to choose from, the trail offers something for everyone with stops at the popular Alby + Esthers, Baker Williams Distillery, Burnbrae, di Lusso Estate, Elton’s + Blue Wren, Huntington Estate, Lowe Wines, Moothi Estate and SHORT SHEEP Micro-Winery.

Leianne Murphy, Acting CEO of Mudgee Region Tourism said: “The Mudgee Region is the ideal location for a unique food and drink trail experience. We’re extending the invitation for visitors to make the short journey to Mudgee Region with their loved ones and truly reset their senses. Trail passes are $40 and contain five vouchers, each voucher can be exchanged for a sample of local wine, beer, spirit or other beverage, expertly paired with a regionally inspired small dish. There is no limit to the number of passes available and it is encouraged that visitors may wish to purchase more passes in order to extend their sampling across one or both days.

Groups of five or more are encouraged to book at each venue.

The ‘Let’s Skip Town Together’ campaign, received funding from the NSW Government’s Regional Visitor Economy Fund (RVEF) which is managed and administered by the State’s tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.
