The Inland Tourism Awards which are held annually, acknowledge the high standard, and innovative tourism experiences offered in Central, Inland, Murray and Riverina, with Mudgee scooping the pool in this year’s much anticipated program.

Russell Holden, Chairman of Mudgee Region Tourism, said “We’re extremely honoured to have done so well at this year’s Travel In Inland Tourism Awards, with Mudgee Region represented strongly across several highly competitive categories. This achievement reinforces what we’ve known for a long time – that Mudgee Region is home to some of the most sought-after, immersive experiences which we invite all to enjoy.”

Cara George, CEO of Mudgee Region Tourism, said “Taking out this year’s Destination Marketing category at the Travel In Inland Tourism Awards reaffirms that we are hitting the mark in marketing our region to others. Having only launched the Reset Yours Senses campaign less than twelve months ago, we’re delighted by the overwhelmingly positive response we’ve received from the industry, local community and visitors alike, and thank all for their ongoing support.”

The Mudgee Region offers the discerning traveller a chance to reset their senses, by escaping the city and indulging in the nature and freedom of Mudgee country. The Reset Your Senses campaign has included everything from a new logo to a major launch at Sydney Cellar Door as part of the NSW Food + Wine Festival to the recently launched TV commercial.

The Mudgee Region is a 3.5-hour drive from Sydney in Central NSW or a 50minute flight from Sydney with FlyPelican, and is one of the state’s first established wine regions. It is renowned for its food and wine with more than 40 family-run boutique wineries, as well as excellent art, music, nature and history experiences.
