Munich Brauhaus and The Bavarian officially celebrate Oktoberfest from Saturday, 21 September, to Sunday, 27 October, with a month-long line-up of themed festivities, making each of the 31 restaurants the perfect places to celebrate with a group. 

Bavarian brands Food and Beverage Director Rebecca O’Shea said Munich Brauhaus and The Bavarian restaurants offer unique spaces for any Oktoberfest event.

“With 31 restaurants across five different states, we cater to absolutely everyone for any Oktoberfest event,” Ms O’Shea. “We offer everything from whole venue hire, to private rooms and outdoor spaces.”

Munich Brauhaus South Bank in Brisbane features 900 seats over two, spacious levels, including an outdoor beer garden for up to 250 diners. Located in the renovated, heritage-listed Allgas Building in Stanley Street Plaza, in the heart of South Bank Parklands, Munich Brauhaus offers multiple spaces that cater to groups of different sizes: from large parties to more intimate gatherings.

The ground floor encompasses the main dining hall, which caters for 150 guests, a large bar and a stage. Upstairs the Jäger and Über rooms accommodate 200 and 300 guests respectively, with the Jäger room also featuring a spacious bar area and a stage.

The Bavarian Eagle Street Pier, perfectly positioned on the Brisbane waterfront, is an ideal venue for hosting an Oktoberfest event. The 600-seat restaurant is divided into three different areas: the top bar, which accommodates up to 150 seated guests; the main dining room, with seats for up to 90 guests; and the balcony that can host up to 350 people cocktail-style.

In Sydney, Munich Brauhaus The Rocks offers four event spaces, including a picturesque outdoor patio accommodating up to 150 guests; the Musik room which features the restaurant’s signature communal dining tables and seats over 250 guests; an intimate dining space for 150 guests known as the Stammtisch room; and a bar area for cocktail-style events. A traditional oompah band regularly performs in the Musik room, providing a quirky backdrop for an Oktoberfest party.

The Bavarian Miranda, located on the top floor of Westfield Miranda, seamlessly merges indoor and outdoor dining, with an expansive, covered terrace with views over the city. The restaurant seats up to 400 guests and features long, communal tables mixed with smaller, round dining tables. The main dining area can be closed off with pine shutters, creating a semi-private Oktoberfest experience. This area accommodates 80 guests seated and 100 guests cocktail-style.

Munich Brauhaus South Wharf in Melbourne is a versatile venue and the perfect destination for an Oktoberfest event, with seven different spaces and seating for up to 1100 guests. Located on South Wharf promenade, Munich Brauhaus offers seven, unique spaces. The ground floor features a beer garden and riverside terrace, each accommodating 60 guests, and the Einstein room that seats 150 people. Also on the ground floor is the Jäger bar and Wunderbar, which accommodate 250 and 700 guests respectively.

The top floor features the King Ludwig mezzanine, which seats 110 people, and the Über bar, which accommodate 60 diners. Stunning features and striking details, including high ceilings, exposed timber trusses and bare brick walls, give the venue dramatic appeal.

The Bavarian Knox at Westfield Knox-O-Zone is an ideal Oktoberfest events destination for those located in Melbourne’s east. The restaurant offers three event spaces, each of which feature long, communal, dining tables mixed with beer barrel tables with high-stool seating.  A covered, outdoor area seats 30 guests, an indoor bar area seats up to 70 diners and an al-fresco dining area accommodates 120 guests.

Each Munich Brauhaus and The Bavarian restaurant features multiple, large screen TVs and audio visual equipment.
