The crowd at the beach party in Langkawi island during IT'S THE SHIP 201...The Livescape Group today announced that Asia’s largest music festival at sea, IT’S THE SHIP will return in 2015. The music festival will set sail with 3,800 party goers aboard the Royal Caribbean International cruise liner the “Mariner of the Seas”, and offer Australian travellers the chance to soak up the sun poolside and party through the night to a host of international dance music headline acts.

The four-day and three-night floating vacation cum music festival is set to depart from the Marina Bay Cruise Centre in Singapore on November 20, crossing international waters on the straits of Malacca to tropical Langkawi for a beach party, before returning to Singapore shores on November 23.

“The inaugural IT’S THE SHIP in 2014 attracted over 2,500 fans from across 49 countries, but what was really pleasing for us was that the crowd for the event was made up of so many Australians – over 10%,” Muhammad Iqbal, Group Chief Executive Officer of The Livescape Group said.

“Many people miss out on tickets to Australian music festivals like ‘Meredith’ and ‘Splendour in the Grass’, as a result of these fast sell-outs and we are seeing growing evidence of Australians travelling overseas to regions such as Asia to attend alternate world-class music events. IT’S THE SHIP is expected to attract thousands of fans of which 60% are expected to come from outside of Singapore. The event has already proven very popular amongst Australians and we expect many more to jump at this not-to-be-missed experience in 2015.” Iqbal said.
