Flown in “live from the sea to you” the Australian blue mussels [Mytilus Galloprivincialis] are grown in the Spencer Gulf in the calm, clean waters of Boston Bay South Australia. Much more than succulent seafood delights, did you know mussels are a powerhouse of good nutrition, high in Omega 3, iron and protein. A 150g serve of these aquatic creatures contain at least the recommended daily intake of these nutrients and are low in fat & saturated fats? However if you want to indulge, we either serve mussels with crusty bread to soak in the delightful broth or with piping hot crispy fries with mayonnaise.

“Our supplier’s harvest crew is instructed to only select mussels with the highest meat condition index [MCI] – a measurement of the meat content as a percentage of the mussels total weight. The mouthwatering mussels served during our Mussel Madness are premium and have a meat to shell ratio of greater than 38%”, says Adrian Kavanagh, Executive Chef, Eclipse Pub Division.

Available every day, all day from 1 September till 11 October The Saint’s mussels are served one of three ways; with white wine & garlic broth, harissa-marinara & basil or spicy Thai tom yum at an unbeatable price of $98 for ½ kilo. To wash it all down include a glass of Massey Dacta Sauvignon Blanc [NZ] or Cuatro Pasos Mencia Rose [ES] or support the HK-based Fat Rooster Brewing Co. and treat yourself to a refreshing pint of Ale at an all-inclusive price of $148
