Mystery fumes send Jetstar crew to hospital

December 22, 2017 Headline News No Comments Email Email

Two pilots and four cabin crew from a Jetstar flight were reportedly treated in a Gold Coast hospital yesterday, apparently after inhaling a mystery gas or vapour aboard an aircraft.

The strange incident happened after the plane landed at Coolangatta from Cairns.

Crew complained of dizziness, light-headedness and nausea, Channel 9 News reported. They were taken to Tweed Heads Hospital as a precaution.

The report added that there were no passengers aboard at the time.

The cause of the fumes – if it was fumes – is not known. The six left the plane and walked to the crew room at the air terminal, talking and fully conscious. They met paramedics and went for a hospital check up because the fact all six were experiencing similar symptoms was considered cause for concern.
