National Parks Promotion Council Celebrates 5th Year at IPW Anniversary

According to the National Park Service 20 percent of National Park visitors are international and growing.

This is the driving force behind the National Parks Promotion Council (NPPC) coordinating a star studded line up at IPW in Chicago April 5th – 9th in what is being called Federal Row.

Federal Row brings together several federal agencies (Department of the Interior, US Dept. of State, National Park Service, Bureau of Indian Affairs & AIANTA, Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Scenic Byways, US Commercial Services, Forest Service, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) with two leading national park concessioners (Xanterra Parks & Resorts and Aramark) and In conjunction with a strong partnership with Brand USA, Federal Row will be located in the national section of the show floor, next to the BUSA Lounge.

This represents the strongest presentation of federal agencies related to welcoming and facilitating inbound international visitors in the history of IPW – US Dept of Homeland Security will also be represented on the IPW show floor.
Sue Cronin, Executive Director, NPPC noted that “IPW Chicago marks our fifth year bringing the national parks experience to this powerful international audience. In light of the upcoming Centennial Celebration of the National Park Service in 2016, this is a pivotal year for travel buyers to embrace and promote the scope, diversity and wonder of our national treasures to their clients.”
NPPC’s IPW promotion includes breathtaking National Geographic Travel photography, as well as participation by many National Park supporters including Delaware North Companies, Xanterra Parks & Resorts, Grand Canyon Railway, jetBlue, Charleston Area CVB, Texas Tourism & Big Bend National Park, Forever Resorts, Guest Services, Durango Area Tourism, Naples-Marco Island-Everglades CVB, National Geographic Travel, and Brand USA.
