October 10, 2019 MICE No Comments Email Email

The National Wine Centre of Australia is gearing up for a busy October and November with five business events comprising three national, one international and one state conference set to take place over a six-week period. The events, including the Australian & New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) Conference, The Australasian Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (AuSPEN)  Conference and the International Fungal Cell Wall Conference span the medical, agricultural, health, environment  and commerce sectors, and will see around 1000 delegates pass through the National Wine Centre over the duration.

The venue which was recently awarded ‘Best Caterer’ overall and ‘Best Function/Conference Cater’ for the second consecutive year at the SA Restaurant and Catering Awards is taking a proactive step forward toward further increasing its share of Adelaide’s business events market with the appointment of former long term Adelaide Convention Centre Manager of Event Planning, Jo Wood.

With its convenient location on the edge of Adelaide’s CBD and a magnificent outlook over vines and the Botanic Gardens, the National Wine Centre of Australia affords events of up to one thousand delegates a unique venue with its award winning wine barrel shaped architectural design and an interior enhanced with oversize wooden beams, shaped glass and brushed aluminium.      Delegates may enjoy a relaxing walk into the Botanic Gardens or participate in  networking opportunities on the terraces between sessions with superb views and fresh air providing with a healthy wellbeing opportunity  – a much sought after aspect of today’s business events.

Six pillarless function rooms with abundant natural light (and blackout options) offer event managers a 10 to 1000 delegate capacity with inhouse a/v facilities, easy access and load in, an expert events team and award winning and fully flexible catering options.  The venue also offers a number of unique tour and tasting opportunities for delegates keen to try some of the 1100 Australian wines available at any given time with a bespoke program created in consultation with the National Wine Centre’s in-house sommelier.
