Networking and New Developments a Highlight For TravelManagers’ Victoria State Meeting

TravelManament logo 108x54Hosted by the local state-based business partnership manager, the Victoria based personal travel managers’ (PTM’s) reveled in the new format of their state meeting that was held in Melbourne recently, the fourth in TravelManagers latest round of bi-annual state meetings around Australia.

The change of format with a focus on more intimate networking and thought provoking interactive discussion workshops were as a result of PTM feedback.

“This round of state meetings was run a little differently with a brand new format creating more intimate, smaller gatherings for national partnership office staff and PTM’s to catch up.  The breakout sessions at each venue allowed for greater interaction and an increased opportunity for more personalised feedback and the creation of future action points. The desire for the change in format was to maximise the potential of our TravelManagers’ partnership philosophy and provide additional value to each of the PTM’s. From the overwhelmingly positive feedback received to date, we achieved exactly that,” says TravelManagers’ Executive General Manager Michael Gazal.

For PTM Phil Kimberlee representative for Chelsea Heights, it was the opportunity for everybody to have a voice that made the state meeting so successful.

The smiles say it all! Victoria based personal travel managers’ agree the new format of their state meeting is a winning formula

“I always look forward to the opportunity to get together with fellow PTM’s and our great national partnership office team, but this was one of the best meetings yet.  The new format with smaller breakout sessions made the day work really well and it gave everyone the chance to have their say, which really is invaluable.  It was fantastic that so many of the senior management team made themselves so freely available to listen to our feedback and I really enjoyed their valuable insights into the business as a whole.  It’s this type of positive collaboration that makes our individual businesses stronger and successful.”

PTM Brett Ray representative for Windsor shared similar sentiments.

“What a brilliant state meeting, informative and in a format that kept the energy happening.  It’s always a great opportunity to meet up with fellow PTM’s and I left feeling completely energized and looking ahead to 2017. I found the new format working in smaller groups great as we could connect with others and share ideas to make our businesses collectively better. Being encouraged to share ideas and working together for mutual success is one of the things I enjoy most about TravelManagers.”

TravelManagers has been holding local state meetings with PTM’s since 2008.

“An overriding objective for all our state meetings, and in fact everything the national partnership office does with the personal travel managers, is to create a sense of family and information sharing. The TravelManagers business model is one of partnership with each and every PTM being a business partner of TravelManagers the company. The understanding that we are all working together towards one end is encouraging and resonates well with our personal travel managers. It’s all about mutual success,” says Gazal.

Following the morning’s business sessions, the PTM’s along with 16 national partnership office staff and seven partner suppliers enjoyed a Christmas cocktail party and lunch at Left Bank a popular bar and restaurant in Southbank.

“Overall is was a great day. The chance to celebrate the end of a busy and challenging year with a glass of champagne and a fabulous Christmas dinner with friends, was the ideal way to end the day. I’m enthused, energized and ready – roll on 2017,” says Kimberlee with a smile.

TravelManagers will continue their personal travel manager state meetings around Australia with Hobart and Brisbane meetings scheduled end November and early December.
