Canadian Rocky Mountain province, Alberta, has introduced a new online travel agent training platform with PowerPoint presentations and pre-recorded webinars on popular areas to visit in both summer and winter.Travel agents can log onto www.travelalberta.com.au/trade and scroll to view training presentations from Banff Lake Louise Tourism, Tourism Jasper, Tourism Calgary, plus Edmonton Tourism and Tourism Canmore Kananaskis.  All presentations include a summer and a winter training option.

Popular tourist partners of Alberta also have their own videos on the site, including Rocky Mountaineer Rail Tours, Calgary Stampede and VIA Rail.

“The aim is to continue educating agents at their leisure,” said Lizzie Doyle, Market Development Director for Travel Alberta, Australia.

“Two years ago we introduced Experience Alberta events, educating agents by experiences you can enjoy in Alberta, but there are still so many agents we would like to reach who are equally as important to us in all parts of Australia.

“These training tools are a way of showing our support by providing education to areas and agents we may not reach with our events.

“The benefit of the pre-recorded voice-over webinars is that agents can download them at leisure and also share the webinars with clients who want to learn more about the area they’re visiting.”

Additional webinars are being developed relating specifically to the ski offering in the Rockies. The Travel Alberta trade site also provides links to fact sheets on Alberta for both summer and winter, along with brochures, maps and industry partner links.
