The annual APX staff Ambassador Programme launched again last month. Staff nominated and voted for their colleagues who embody APX’s corporate values. This year’s ambassadors are: Aimee Donovan, Anthony Cornor, Debbie Fraser, Jamie Bishop, Jodi MacKinnon, Neihana Burke, Parvathy Menon and Shannon Whitta.

Jenny Miller, Head of Partnerships and Product, commented: “Congratulations to this year’s Ambassadors. We’re so proud to see these team members living our culture and values. This is an important staff recognition programme and we’re really happy to see such high engagement from everyone. The nomination process uncovers so many amazing stories of commitment and hard work.”

The eight ambassadors as well as APX’s Jenny Miller and Chris Hughes of Air New Zealand, returned from the annual Ambassadors’ trip on Sunday. The destination remained a mystery until the Ambassadors were announced. This year’s destination was Taipei.

The six-day trip, a reward of becoming an APX Ambassador, saw the ambassadors enjoying Taipei’s famous food scene, markets and skyline. Shannon Whitta, APX Ambassador, loved the view from Taipei 101 and going up it in the world’s fastest elevator, as well as the mango shaved ice. She said, “it was an actioned packed, fun few days in Taipei. It’s such a crazy, hot city and we really enjoyed getting lost in the night markets and visiting Taipei 101.” Highlights from the trip also included flying Air New Zealand’s Business Premier, eating dumplings at Michelin star restaurant, Din Tai Fung and discovering Taipei’s temples and history.
