Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises have announced the appointment of two travel industry professionals, Rebecca Scaffidi and Carlos Rodrigues, to their Business Development teams. Ms. Scaffidi takes the role of Business Development Manager for Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises in WA and NT, with Mr. Rodrigues acting as a temporary Business Development Executive for Regent Seven Seas Cruises in NSW and ACT.

Ms. Scaffidi brings over a decade of travel industry knowledge and experience to the role, where she will operate as a key contact for Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises’ WA and NT based travel partners. Ms Scaffidi previously worked for Singapore Airlines as a Sales Executive and has been nominated twice for the NTIA AFTA Awards, where she was a finalist under the Rookie Of The Year category.

Mr Rodrigues also has over a decade’s worth of travel industry experience and holds a bachelor’s degree in Tourism. He joined Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings in May 2018, working as part of the outbound team and as Operations Support for the inbound team. Previously Mr Rodrigues worked for Viking River & Ocean Cruises where he was a Cruise Sales Consultant.

Mr Rodrigues has now transitioned into acting Business Development Executive for Regent Seven Seas Cruises, where he will operate as a key contact for the line’s NSW and ACT based travel partners. He takes on the temporary role while Linda Seiersen, Business Development Manager for NSW & ACT, is on extended leave due to health reasons.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Carlos into his new role as part of the Regent Seven Seas Cruises team while our dear colleague Linda recovers. This is an exciting time both locally and internationally for the company, and we are looking forward to adding his experience and industry knowledge into the team,” said Lisa Pile, Vice President Sales Australia and New Zealand at Regent Seven Seas Cruise.

“With 2019 already being full of big announcements for Oceania Cruises – including confirmation of two new ship builds and OceaniaNEXT advancements – it’s the perfect time for us to add Rebecca’s expertise to our amazing local team,” said Steve McLaughlin, Vice President Sales, Australia and New Zealand at Oceania Cruises.

Commenting on her appointment, Ms. Scaffidi said – “I am excited to take on my new role as Business Development Manager WA and NT for Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. I’m a travel enthusiast that’s passionate about connecting people to adventures and luxury experiences, and I look forward to working closely with both my colleagues and our WA and NT based trade partners.”

Mr Rodrigues said – “I am delighted to be appointed to this role while my dear friend and work-colleague Linda recovers, and I will continue to strive by assisting our valued trade partners during such a monumental and exciting year for Regent Seven Seas Cruises.”
