New Carnival Australia Customer Sales and Service Director Selling the Dream

Carnival Australia’s newly appointed Customer Sales and Service Director Amanda McClelland sees her new role as an opportunity to help people make their holiday dreams come true.

Amanda has joined Carnival Australia at an exciting time leading the recent successful transition to new call centre arrangements for P&O Cruises Australia, P&O Cruises World Cruising and Cunard.

Amanda McClelland“I have really been impressed with what I have found at Carnival Australia,” Amanda said. “There is a really positive vibe and we make people’s dreams come true, which is a lovely thing to be doing day to day.”

Amanda’s new role, matching cruise holidaymakers to a wide choice of ships, itineraries and onboard experiences, is perfect for someone who even before joining Carnival Australia loved cruising and vacations with her extended family.

“Cruising allows us to do something that creates life experiences and precious moments for people. One of the things I like to do is take my extended family on holiday and I like being able to help others to do the same,” Amanda said.

Amanda’s caring approach to life continues outside the office. In addition to being a proud mother to three wonderful children, Amanda is also taking care of what she describes as her three ‘fur children’.

“I am involved in dog rescue and tell people that I have three children and three rescued ‘fur children’,” Amanda said.

“We rescued our first dog about 12 years ago. Some have suffered quite a bit of abuse. One was just a puppy, the classic Christmas gift that someone had just dumped.

“It is so sad when a dog is lost and alone because they are so helpless. I am known for jumping out of taxis to rescue some little dog that has gone missing from home – they are proper little escape artists.”

Amanda joined Carnival Australia following 20 years’ in customer service in the highly competitive telecommunications industry.
