New CBD Quick & Easy Dumpling Den

Food@259 George Street has become a dumpling Mecca with the launch of Jumping Dumplings, a modern take on Sydney’s obsession with all things dumpling.

Created by Sydney stylist, caterer and event organiser, Jane Crosland, Jumping Dumplings brings both savoury and sweet dumplings to the corporate masses looking for a dumpling fix come mid morning, lunchtime or afternoon.

The premise is simple – order, four, six or eight dumplings and receive miso soup or Chinese tea OR have your dumplings of choice served in a Chinese spiced duck broth or an Asian laksa.  Sweet toothed city workers will also love the mochi ice cream balls in black sesame, green tea, mango and chocolate of the steamed chocolate hazelnut bun with salted caramel sauce.

Jane’s dumplings are all natural, MSG and preservative free, hand finished, high protein, steamed not fried with modern flavours including Edamame, Spinach & Tofu, Thai Chicken, Pork & Ginger, Salt & Pepper Prawn and Scallop and Shitake.

“I wanted to bring a fast food meal option that was both delicious and healthy and affordable” explains Crosland. “I love the idea of yum cha but when I worked in the city I never had time to sit through the whole ritual at lunch time. Jumping Dumplings is a fun twist on yum cha, fast food and dumplings”

Dumplings sell in packs of 4, 6 and 8 from $6.50 including packs with Chinese Tea or Miso Soup.

Jumping Dumplings also offers a fun alternative for corporate catering for office parties.
