Central Australia is home to some of the county’s most stunning outback landscapes and Park Trek Walking Holidays has just launched a new walking and photographic journey which is sure to appeal to nature lovers and photographic enthusiasts alike.

Guests can explore the Red Centre’s stunning environments with photographic extraordinaire Grenville Turner and specialist outback guide Carl Burden on a breathtaking trip that encompasses the best of the region.

The 7-day journey includes a night ascent of Mount Sonder to shoot the surrounding landscape at sunrise, a walk along arguably the most stunning section of the iconic Larapinta Trail to Counts Lookout and time among the ancient landscape of Palm Valley.

This trip expertly combines comfortable four-wheel drive coach touring with great walking opportunities along with photographic workshops and mentorship by award winning photographer and tutor, Grenville Turner.

“This is a journey through a truly inspiring landscape and I am very excited to be working with Park Trek,” says Grenville.

“Central Australia has some of the most dramatic and awe inspiring landscapes in the country, it’s truly a photographer’s paradise.

“On this trip we will visit picturesque Namatjira country, spend time at the delightful Ormiston Gorge and travel through the East Macs. It promises to be lots of fun,” he says.

The trip includes specialist photographic workshops and mentoring with Grenville Turner, six nights’ accommodation in central Australia with one night camping at Palm Valley, all transport and guiding by professional and knowledgable guides, most meals and snacks.

Travellers only need to bring their own clothing, a comfortable pair of walking shoes and a sense of adventure.
