From January, there will once again be a direct connection from Berlin to the Saarland. Luxair Luxembourg Airlines will connect the capital with Saarbrücken. Three times a day, in total 18 times a week, the airline will fly to Saarbrücken Airport. This connection will be flown using a Bombardier CRJ700. Through the relaunch of this route, a gap in the market has been closed and attractive flights for both tourists and business travellers have been made available.

Elmar Kleinert, Head of Operations: „Thanks to Luxair Luxembourg Airlines, the route between Berlin and Saarbrücken is being flown again. Luxair has expanded the range of flights available from Berlin and will bring new attractive routes back to the market.”

Saarbrücken

Saarbrücken is often known as the city of many faces. The medieval cityscape along the riverside of the Saar and the city’s baroque castle still characterise the Saarland capital. Similarly, industrialisation and the post-war period have particularly left their marks on the city’s landscape. The Saarland is the smallest state in Germany – and thrills guests with a variety of sights. The UNESCO-world heritage site Völklingen Ironworks is particularly impressive.
