The introduction of the Maldives to the newly released India brochure is the result of an increased demand in customers wanting to partake in an India or Sri Lanka group tour and then extend their holiday with private arrangements, such as a beach stay in one of the many Maldivian resorts.
Managing Director Alan Alcock said that with Male being just a 90 minute flight from Colombo it made the Maldives the perfect add-on destination and filled a gap in their market for private beach stays in that region.
He added, “There has been an increase in the range of resorts now offered in the market so we were able to select a variety of suitable properties, from the affordable Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort and Spa for five nights from only $1640 per person twin share to the ultimate in luxury at the Jumeirah Vittaveli resort.
“These have been packaged with accommodation, return transfers by speedboat and daily breakfast, allowing flexibility for customers to add on their own airfares and the choice to upgrade on meal plans, included activities or room selection if they wish”.
Also new to the brochure is the fully inclusive Classic Tour “In Search Of Buddha” designed to offer customers a more unique insight into a religion that pre-dates Christianity. The 19-day roundtrip journey from Delhi travels across India and Nepal visiting important locations from Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and death providing travellers the opportunity to uncover more about the history of Buddhism.
The new vibrant brochure layout includes upsell boxes to assist agents in increasing their sales commission, precise and dedicated colour coded sections for each product range with more imagery to catch the eye, the new point of difference page- ten reasons to choose Wendy Wu Tours, clearer maps and more detailed descriptions resulting in an overall more user-friendly format.
