egtmedia59At 9 am on September 12 there was the official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of ITE HCMC 2013 at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC).

The eagerly awaited and highly expected event was endorsed by the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

Visitors rushed in to see the booths of countries such as Thailand,
Cambodia, Indonesia, India, Taiwan, Malaysia, South Korea, Lao PDR, and
Myanmar, next to a myriad of Vietnamese travel companies and otherEGT_Artical Banner A 250x250
countries of the Lower Mekong region. There was even a booth from “Visit Berlin” of Germany and another one from Egypt.

Browsing through the exhibition hall, I want to single out and recommend the following new exciting travel products (in alphabetical order):

1. Angkor Paradise Hotel, in Siem Reap, Cambodia, which is a 4-star
centrally located resort featuring 169 comfortable rooms and suites.

2. Ca Mau Cape mangrove forest at the southern tip of Viet Nam, which is recognized as a UNESCO biosphere reserve of the world.

3. Lao Airlines, which from its base in Vientiane, Lao PDR, is quickly becoming the distinguished airline of the Mekong region.

4. Naga World Complex in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, which offers the best
entertainment and casino services in Indochina.

5. Pandanus Resort in Mui Ne, Phan Thiet, which is one of the best
all-inclusive beach resorts in Viet Nam.

6. Pandaw Cruises in Myanmar and Cambodia, which operates some luxury
colonial-style river cruises on the Ayeyarwady and Chindwin Rivers in
Myanmar and on the Mekong River in Cambodia and Viet Nam.

7. Rex Hotel Saigon, which is Viet Nam’s most famous 5-star hotel in the center of Ho Chi Minh City with 286 elegant rooms. The hotel hosted “Cambodia Night” on the evening of September 12 and a late night function within its impressive terrace restaurant.

8. Thansur Bokor Highland Resort is the latest addition to the luxury and exclusive Sokha Hotels & Resorts Company in Cambodia with its 564 elegant rooms and suites as well as recreation facilities.

9. Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Ho Chi Minh City Office, which opened in 2007 to give useful tourist information and consultation for any Amazing Thailand holiday.

10. Vinh Long Tourism Information and Promotion Center, which is located in Vinh Long right in the heart of the Mekong Delta. Home- stay tourism is just one form of tourism to enjoy there in Viet Nam.

During ITE HCMC 2013 media delegates had the option to join a day-tour to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels outside the city on September 13 in a speedboat with the Saigon River Tour Company and a (3D/2N) post-show tour to Binh Dinh and Phu Yen in Central Viet Nam, which was once
the center of the ancient Champa Kingdom.
