New Holistic Wellness Offers At Mandarin Oriental, Sanya

September 23, 2017 Health and Wellness No Comments Email Email

Mandarin Oriental, Sanya has launched a new set of holistic wellness programmes. Guests can experience their transformative effects and the resort’s luxurious amenities and exotic location by booking its Family Wellness Retreat package.

Enjoying year-round balmy weather, the resort is a tropical sanctuary situated between the sparkling South China Sea and verdant hills.

“The new wellness programmes are designed around five things that everyone needs more of,” said Jeremy McCarthy, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s Director of Spa and Wellness, “Nourishment, Movement, Stillness, Connections and Wellbeing.”

Working with acclaimed French naturopath, Liliane Israel, the resort’s chefs have refined recipes for healthy menu dishes. The Gourmet Healthy Delights options are available at the resort’s Yi Yang and Pavilion restaurants and for in-room dining.

Alongside a variety of fitness and yoga facilities other activities at the resort include Kung Fu, Tai Chi and Qi Gong led by the resort’s Shaolin Kung Fu Master, Master Hu, who helps guests find their inner-self through graceful, meditative movement.

To cleanse mind, body and soul, the award-winning spa has created an unrivalled holistic experience that produces physical and emotional equilibrium. In addition to enjoying classic spa therapies and massages, guests can consult The Spa’s Traditional Chinese Medicine specialist, Dr. Li, to determine the best treatments for their needs.

The Spa’s exclusive Digital Wellness Journey allows guests to disengage from phones and computers, and re-evaluate their relationship with technology through sensory treatments and time for “Stillness.” A special Zen Tea experience with Master Hu gently helps guests to slow down and practice mindfulness through the simple act of enjoying a cup of tea.

Parents and their children can bond with each other through family yoga, children’s Kung Fu classes, outdoor film screening nights and many other programmes at the resort.

“Families don’t want to have to choose between a wellness destination for the parents or a children-friendly getaway,” said Jeremy McCarthy, Group Director of Spa and Wellness. “At Mandarin Oriental, Sanya they can do it all.”

The Family Wellness Retreat package starts from CNY 1,963 per room per night, and includes:

  • Two nights stay in an Ocean View Room
  • Daily breakfast buffet in Pavilion Restaurant
  • One family healthy lunch at the poolside
  • 30-minute family spa journey
  • One family Chi Yoga experience
  • Complimentary family Traditional Chinese Medicine consultation and nutrition plan
  • Complimentary family wellness lifestyle workshop

The offer is subject to availability and 16.6% service charge and tax. Advance reservation is required and the offer is for up to two adults and two children aged 12 or under.  It is valid until 23 December 2017.
