About Argyll Walking Holidays has reacted to increased demand from clients by introducing a new luxury guided hiking tour to their existing range of guided walking holidays.
Loch Coruisk, Isle of Skye
2016 will see the addition of their third luxury guided walk; this time to explore the Morar Peninsula and the Isle of Skye. The holiday starts with a train journey along the scenic West Highland Railway line from Glasgow to the Morar peninsula. During the day hikers will experience the beauty of Morar and after their day out they will return to their country house hotel, enjoy a good meal and go to sleep in 4-star comfort.
The second part of the tour is to the Isle of Skye, where the group will enjoy the rugged majesty of the island and stay in a secluded hotel – well away from where most tourists stay.
The walks will take them into the Black Cuillin mountains and to the Old Man of Storr on the Trotternish Peninsula, and then along the west coast, where they will also visit the Talisker distillery.
The final night is spent in Perthshire. On the way to Perthshire the group will have the opportunity to walk in one of the last remnants of the ancient Caledonian Forest.
Frieda Bos, owner of About Argyll Walking Holidays said: “We are delighted to be offering this new tour for our clients, giving them a fantastic opportunity to explore this most beautiful part of Scotland on foot with one of our experienced and knowledgeable guides. It’s an exciting new addition for us, and one which we expect will provide a memorable and unique experience for our clients.”
