New Luxury Rail Range Proves Popular With Agents

DEDICATED rail specialist International Rail has been encouraged by agency partners and the industry’s response as a whole to its recently launched ‘Luxury Rail Collection’ program on September 4,  with managing director Jonathan Hume contributing early success to having a dedicated team of luxury consultants.

The most popular products at this early stage are the Rocky Mountaineer and The Belmond Rail packages, such as The Royal Scotsman, this was expected due to the Australian agents being better educated on these products said Hume.

He added, “Although these types of products generally take a while to gather momentum, we have seen a significant increase in enquiries and bookings for both our European and Canadian Luxury train packages since the creation of our luxury collection program.

“We feel this has resulted from agents dealing with a dedicated team of luxury consultants with priority email and call centre service. With bookings of this size, agents do take comfort in knowing that they have a local service that is personalised and accessible. Also, given that many of these trains are limited in availability, it is crucial for agents to get in early and book as far in advance as possible to secure the dates their clients require”

Agents still have the chance to make three deposited bookings per agency on any of the luxury rail products by Friday December 7 to receive a $250 voucher and for home based agents make just two deposited bookings and receive a $150 Dan Murphy voucher.
